
Capital Markets Analyst
Reports To: FP&A Manager
Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
FLSA Status: Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
As a Capital Markets Analyst at Watercress Financial Group, you will be part of an active team, collaborating with the FP&A Manager and VP of Capital Markets to ensure that the business has adequate liquidity, is in compliance with its funding facility covenants, and is meeting its financial targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily/Monthly Borrowing Base Management
- Monthly Reporting for Funding Partners
- General Financial Analysis
- Ad Hoc Support for Capital Markets and FP&A
- Financial and Product-level forecasting
- Budget
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business-related field, or 2-4 years’ experience in the finance, accounting or capital markets field.
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible as business needs change.
- Attention to detail when working with large data sets and good analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking and time management skills. Own issues and resolve them in collaboration with others
- Proven ability to use and learn new technology
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence programs is a plus
- Experience with financial models and financial concepts and terminology
- Experience with SAS and or Power Query is a plus
