Reporting Analyst

Reports To: Power BI Developer

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

FLSA Status: Non-exempt


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Reporting Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have up to 1-2 years of experience in data analytics and reporting, with a strong emphasis on using Power BI. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to help drive informed business decisions.


  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Gather data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
  • Reporting:
    • Develop, maintain, and automate reports and dashboards using Power BI.
    • Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and meet the needs of stakeholders.
    • Present findings and insights through clear and concise visualizations.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with different departments to understand their reporting needs.
    • Assist in the creation of ad-hoc reports as required by various teams.
  • Data Management:
    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting tools.
    • Participate in data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and reporting.
    • Propose improvements to existing reporting processes and tools.
    • All other tasks and duties as assigned related to the position


  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Up to 1-2 years of experience in a reporting or data analysis role.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including building and maintaining dashboards and reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with data management and visualization tools.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.


  • Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Understanding statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
