Regional Vice President, Business Development

JOB SUMMARY

These positions are remote in select metropolitan markets to support the aggressive growth in the United States markets. The role reports into the SVP, Sales and is responsible for building a sales pipeline by identifying, cold calling, and rolling out a vendor finance program within an assigned territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Motivated, customer-focused, and sales-driven to surpass annual quotas based on loan originations
  • Qualify prospective customers (dealers) based on loan origination goals and serve as the main lead generator for new sales opportunities in an assigned territory from a remote office setting
  • Increase dealer base by closing new dealer agreements; present vendor finance solutions in person or via video conference, educate and train a captive HVAC dealer network in order to originate homeowner (end-user) loans
  • Manage a prescribed sales process within assigned territory and diligently track within Salesforce
  • Effectively market Watercress’s lending solutions directly in assigned territory
  • Develop and foster client relationships with largest accounts to grow loan origination portfolio; closely align with account management and dealer support teams to grow new dealer client loan origination volume
  • Develop and foster OEM Territory Manager and Distribution Manager relationships within their assigned territories
  • Plan and attend regular meetings with prospect customers; attend regional trade shows and conferences as required
  • Perform at the highest level with limited direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Estimated 30% of travel required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A completed bachelor’s degree or similar academic experience
  • A minimum of 5 years’ “sales hunting” with experience in a vendor/dealer-based finance company 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to manage small and large projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable in managing change in a complex environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes while maintaining ongoing accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to leverage technology; perform web-based trainings and demonstrations, presentations, and utilize sales tracking with platforms such as Microsoft suite, GoTo Meeting/WebEx, Smart sheet, Salesforce, internal proprietary systems, etc.
  • Excellent judgment and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures
  • Team orientated, collaborative, diplomatic, accountable, and flexible with “can do” attitude
