Assistant Vice President

JOB SUMMARY

This position may be remote and supports aggressive growth in both specific geographies as well as across all United States markets. The role reports to the Senior Vice President managing the region. The Assistant Vice President (AVP) is responsible for signing up and activating home improvement contractors for our financing program by identifying, conducting outreach (phone calls, site visits, emails, SMS, etc.), educating, and closing opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source home improvement contractors based on loan origination goals in an assigned territory. Opportunity to source contractors throughout the United States where previous relationship exists.
  • Engage in diverse outreach activities to arrange meetings with key personnel at contractor offices and/or to discuss consumer financing programs, with the objectives of signing, onboarding, training, and activating new contractors.
  • Manage a prescribed sales process within an assigned territory and diligently track it within Salesforce.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key contractors, OEMs, and distributors to expand the loan origination portfolio. Collaborate closely with Watercress account management and contractor support teams to boost new dealer loan origination volume.
  • Plan and attend regular meetings with prospective customers; participate in regional trade shows and conferences as required.
  • Perform at the highest level with limited direct supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel is essential to meet contractor and loan origination goals. Face-to-face meetings are crucial for closing deals effectively. While there is no mandated minimum travel requirement, expect to travel up to 50% of the time to achieve these objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 3 years of outstanding success in sales roles focused on home improvement contractors.
  • Proven track record of relentless pursuit of new contractor relationships and diligent follow up with signed partners to strengthen relationships.
  • Confidence and strong self-assurance in calling on prospects and successfully completing sales cycle.
  • Advanced listening skills leading to adaptive selling messages and techniques based upon input from prospects.
  • Motivated, customer-focused, and sales-driven to surpass annual quotas based on loan originations.
  • Ability to monitor self-performance against goals and modify behavior as needed to achieve goals.
  • Team-orientated, collaborative, diplomatic, accountable, and flexible with a company focused attitude.
  • Ability to leverage technology; perform web-based training and demonstrations, presentations, and utilize sales tracking with platforms such as Salesforce and be proficient with various standard office technology (Microsoft suite, video conferencing, etc.)
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and convincingly, develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and team members, and deliver exceptional customer support, addressing needs and resolving issues efficiently.
